Features
Enter the features that are protected. Place only one feature per line. Consider the order placement so that the features requiring a higher subscription level are at the bottom.

URL Path
Enter the path to the protected URL. The path is that part of the URL that follows the domain name. For example if we look at the url http://mydomain.com/photo/new/photo

/photo/new/photo is the complete path.

This path refers to adding a new photo; however, if I want to protect the viewing of photos, I would just enter:

/photo as the path.

Note also, that by restricting access to the path /photo, I in effect restict access to all paths that begin with /photo, so for example, if I restrict access to /photo, I am also restricting access to /photo/new/photo.

The shorter the path the broader the effects.

In our example, if I want to permit the viewing of photos, but want to restrict access to adding new photos, I would use the path /photo/new/photo.

In this case, I have not restricted access to viewing photos, which is the path /photo, but have restricted access to adding photos.

So the longer the path, the more defined/narrow the effect.

*For ease of use, a template is provided to the right. Just select a feature on the list and the path will be populated for you.

Subscription Status
The three possible subscription status states are (active, cancelled, and pending). They are defined as:

1. Active —The subscriber as completed the payment process through Paypal and they currently have an active recurring subscription.

2. Cancelled —The subscriber as completed the payment process but no longer has an active recurring subscription. The subscriber will continue to have access until Paypal sends the end of term [EOT] message. At that time, the "valid thru" date will be updated. If you need to manually cancel a subscription for some reason, say for example, a member requests a refund, then you can update the "valid thru" date to reflect the refunded payment.

3. Pending — The member clicked on a link to subscribe, but has not yet completed the payment process. If the member does not complete the payment process the subscription status will remain in the state of "Pending" and the member will not have access to restricted features.

Ning Id
We recommend that you do not make adjustments to the Ning user id unless you are replacing it with a new valid Ning user id. The Ning user id is used to idenify the subscribing member.

To view the member profile, append: /profile/ninguserid (where ninguserid is the id in the box to the left) to the end of your domain.

Valid Thru Date
The valid thru date can be left blank unless you are wanting to cancel a subscription and need to enter an access termination date.

*Date Format: YYYY-MM-DD
